Job summary

Peace River Electric Cooperative is seeking a Customer Care I to assist consumers by answering questions, processing orders, and taking payments. This role starts at $23.00 per hour, with two weeks of PTO and benefits starting per company policy.

The position involves handling calls, creating service orders for installations and changes, and explaining energy savings programs while maintaining confidentiality and maintaining data accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four years related experience in an office environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming calls and distribute them to the proper department.
• Talk with customers by phone or in person and create orders for installation, turn-on, relocation, discontinuance, security lights, tree trimming, trouble calls, or change in service.
• Explain energy savings programs offered by the Cooperative.
• Maintain confidentiality of all consumer information and documentation.
• Handle consumer complaints and inquiries and grant payment extensions as needed.
