Job summary

Heartland Bank and Trust Company is seeking a Customer Care Representative I to provide information and creative solutions to callers about bank products and services. The role handles inquiries via telephone, email, and chat, aiming to retain and grow customer relationships.

You will be expected to stay informed about company products, respond calmly to customer distress, and help meet referral and sales goals while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED and minimum 1 year retail, office, bank or other customer service experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiries about products, services, policies, and procedures; provide account information; promote bank products and services.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills and own the problem to resolution.
• Keep updated about bank products and information systems to resolve issues and cross-sell.
• Communicate professionally with customers by phone, email, and chat, maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Refer and recommend suitable products/services to meet customer needs and sales goals.
• Assist with other tasks to ensure accurate and timely work; offer creative solutions.
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally across different channels.
