Job summary

Ringgold Telephone Company in Ringgold, GA, is seeking a Customer Care Consultant to assess residential needs and promote RTC services. You will refer potential sales opportunities to a Customer Sales Consultant and support billing inquiries with a focus on accurate, clear communication.

You will document interactions, assist Lifeline applications when needed, and strive to retain customers using effective retention tools while offering knowledgeable service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 1–2 years related experience.
• Unified ACH and PCI DSS Compliance.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to recognize or lead into a sales lead to a CSC.
• Ability to maintain in depth knowledge of products and services.
• Ability to identify customer service needs and quickly respond with proactive solutions.

Responsibilities

• Follow billing policies, procedures and pricing with customers clearly.
• Adjust accounts for billing/service discrepancies per guidelines.
• Serve as a backup to designated areas within Customer Service.
• Review accounts to evaluate service utilization and suggest improvements.
• Advise customers on service options, advantages, and costs to meet needs.
• Assist qualified customers with Lifeline Assistance applications and registrations.
• Document all customer interactions and follow up as needed.
• Create fair arrangements for customers while complying with tariff rules.
• Respond to cancellation requests and use retention tools to keep customers.
• Proactively contact at‑risk customers to explore retention opportunities.
• Identify and propose improvements to reduce cancellation risk.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
