Job summary

S&W Foods in Hammond, LA is seeking a Customer Service Representative who will be the first point of contact for customers in person, by phone, and by email. You will coordinate with internal teams to ensure orders and service needs are handled accurately and on time.

The role emphasizes professional communication, problem solving, and meticulous recordkeeping, with opportunities to contribute to a friendly, efficient customer experience and growth within the company.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED plus 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers and coworkers.
• The ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and follow through on customer and order details.
• The ability to address customer complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor, including knowing when to direct an issue to the appropriate person.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office Suite or related software to support customer service and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Customer Communication & Service: portray a positive image and provide professional service in person, by phone, and by email.
• Order Processing & Follow-Through: process orders received by mail, telephone, fax, email, or through other employees; provide pricing and shipping dates; follow up to ensure timely delivery.
• Issue Resolution: respond to questions and concerns professionally and promptly involve others when needed.
• Administrative Support & Recordkeeping: maintain accurate records and assist colleagues with administrative duties.
