Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a detail-oriented individual for our Customer Account team. The role combines customer service, collections, and accounts receivable functions to support customers, resolve order issues, and ensure accurate payments and adjustments.

The candidate will handle inquiries, place and update orders, coordinate with freight carriers, and manage collection activities while maintaining orderly records in spreadsheets and internal systems.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, collections are preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer inquiries regarding shortages, damages, incorrect shipments, order status, and issues.
• Place orders for customers and enter/update orders, including changes or special requests.
• Coordinate with freight carriers and FedEx to resolve lost or damaged shipments; issue call tags; coordinate returns.
• Maintain customer files and assist with periodic purging; process credit card payments; monitor emails.
• Showroom & preshow assistance as needed; front desk support as needed.
• Manage portfolio of accounts for past-due and current invoices; contact customers with reminders.
• Review and update customer information; track collection activities in spreadsheets and systems.
• Work with customers to resolve payment discrepancies.
