Job summary

LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans is seeking a Custodian Supervisor A to oversee custodian staff and assist with housekeeping duties across a designated LSUHSC building. The role includes planning instructions, handling emergencies, inspections, and ensuring peak productivity during shifts.

Qualifications

Two years of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.

Responsibilities

Supervise the cleaning of assigned building. Plan and give instructions.
Deal with campus cleaning emergencies during normal work hours.
Assist cleaning of assigned building.
Conduct inspections of respective areas.
Follow-up on employee performance to ensure peak productivity.
Plan, give instruction on, assist with and inspect special set-up requests and events.
Manage payroll/time sheets, leave requests, and annual performance reviews; participate in hiring and retraining as needed.
Manage work orders and maintain building supplies inventory.
