Job summary

LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans is seeking a Custodian Supervisor A to oversee day-to-day cleaning operations in the Downtown Campus building. The role supervises Custodian 3s, 2s and 1s, plans duties, conducts inspections, and ensures cleanliness and safety standards are met.

The shift runs Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Essential responsibilities include coordinating staff, handling work orders, monitoring supplies, and enforcing policies.

Qualifications

• Required education: Other
• Two years of custodial experience
• No minimum education specified
• Ability to supervise and coordinate staff

Responsibilities

• Supervise the cleaning of assigned building. Plan and give instructions
• Deal with campus cleaning emergencies during normal work hours
• Assist cleaning of assigned building
• Conduct inspections of respective areas
• Follow-up on employees performance to insure peak productivity
• Plan and inspect completion of events, staffing and clean-up
