Job summary

South Louisiana Community College is seeking a Custodial Supervisor A to manage custodial teams across campuses in Abbeville and Crowley, with duties domiciled on the Abbeville Campus and periodic travel to Crowley. Responsibilities

• Supervises all subordinate custodians for assigned tasks and ensures equipment is available.
• Trains custodians on proper procedures and safety protocols.
• Creates and implements the Master Cleaning Schedule and revises as needed.
• Uses FMX work order system to manage custodial requests.
• Oversees custodial inventory and prepares supply requisitions.
• Ensures floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, and maintained per schedule.
• Performs specialized floor maintenance and routine deep cleaning tasks.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

• Supervises all subordinate lower-level custodians for all assigned tasks, assigning those tasks and ensuring that all equipment is provided for the completion of those tasks.
• Trains lower-level custodians on the proper procedures and safety protocols for all custodial work.
• Responsible for creating, and implementing the Master Cleaning Schedule, revising this schedule as needed.
• Utilized the FMX work order systems as required for custodial work orders submitted by faculty and staff.
• Oversees all custodial inventory, preparing supply requisitions when needed so that adequate stock is on hand.
• Ensures all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, and maintained per the Master Cleaning Schedule and as assigned.
• Performs specialized floor maintenance and upkeep utilizing established protocols and industrial-grade machinery.
• Complete all monthly, quarterly, and annual deep cleaning tasks identified in the Master Cleaning Schedule and as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Specific Details:

This position is domiciled on the Abbeville Campus, with travel required to and duties assigned on the Crowley campus.

The Custodial Supervisor A is a supervisory position responsible for the direct supervision over an assigned group of lower level custodians. This position assumes a lead role in the oversight and active completion of all custodial tasks aimed at ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of all SoLAcc spaces as assigned by Facilities Department management.
