Job summary

South Louisiana Community College is seeking a Custodian 2 to maintain cleanliness and custodial upkeep on the New Iberia Campus as part of the Facilities Department. The role requires a six-month background in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or related work and includes duties on restroom sanitation and floor care.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restroom and bathroom areas using established practices and procedures.
• Ensure all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, and maintained in accordance with the Master Cleaning Schedule and as assigned.
• Refill all restroom dispensers to ensure an adequate supply of paper products as assigned.
• Performs specialized floor maintenance and upkeep utilizing established protocols and industrial-grade machinery.
• Acts as the primary point of contact for the notification of janitorial supply inventory needs.
• Complete all monthly, quarterly, and annual deep cleaning tasks identified in the Master Cleaning Schedule and as assigned.

The Custodian 2 is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and custodial upkeep of all assigned spaces by the Facilities Department management.

Six months of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.
