Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care’s Environmental Services department seeks a Custodian to maintain a safe, clean environment for patients, guests, visitors and staff on campus in Iowa City. This 100% on-campus role operates Monday–Friday 5:00 pm to 1:30 am, with every fourth weekend and some holidays; salary is $17.66 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package.

• Stock supplies for cart and custodial area
• Clean and disinfect restrooms/ refill restroom supplies
• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and damp mopping hard surface floors
• Wall & ceiling washing
• Furniture moves and room setups
• Use various types of custodial equipment in performance of duties
• Other tasks and duties as assigned

This position is performed fully on campus.

We as a department are responsible for the upkeep and cleaning of over 2.8 million square feet of the hospital. The department provides support through 24/7 operations.

Monday – Friday 5:00 pm to 1:30 am with every 4 th weekend and holiday 3:30 pm to 12:00 am.

Salary:

$17.66/hour
