The University of Iowa Health Care’s Environmental Services department seeks a Custodian to maintain a safe, clean, and healthy hospital environment for patients, visitors, and staff on campus in Iowa City. • Stock supplies for cart and custodial area
• Clean and disinfect restrooms/ refill restroom supplies
• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and damp mopping hard surface floors
• Carpet cleaning
• Unit/bed making
• Wall & ceiling washing
• Furniture moves and room setups
• Use various types of custodial equipment in performance of duties
• Other tasks and duties as assigned

Position may have Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Risk.

This position is performed fully on campus.

We as a department are responsible for the upkeep and cleaning of over 2.8 million square feet of the hospital. The department provides support through 24/7 operations.

Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with rotating weekends and holidays 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Salary:

$17.66/hour
