Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a reliable janitorial/maintenance staff member to keep our facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained across our Metairie location. You will perform routine custodial duties and support operational needs as directed by the Executive Director.

We value honesty, accountability, and a sober lifestyle alignment. No formal education is required, but applicants with related experience and strong communication skills will excel in this role.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Minimum of two years' related experience preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Strong responsibility and attention to detail.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and smooth function of property and plant.
• Perform routine custodial duties such as cleaning, restocking, removing garbage etc.
• Provide consistent operational support as required by the Executive Director
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of facility
• Report on all activities completed, escalating any concerns to the Executive Director
