Job summary

avenuesrecovery is seeking a dependable Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and organized residential environment. Responsibilities include cleaning living areas, dining spaces, restrooms, and common areas to keep the facility sanitary and presentable.

The role requires 8-hour shifts, ability to pass a background check, and a commitment to thorough cleaning and safety protocols. Occasional evenings and weekends may be needed in a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, commercial cleaning, hospitality, or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to perform physical work over an 8-hour shift (standing, walking, bending, lifting).
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize living areas, restrooms, dining areas, and common spaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
• Restock soap, paper products, and other custodial supplies.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning, including windows, baseboards, and kitchen appliances.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to management.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Assist with additional housekeeping and custodial duties as assigned.
