SUMMARY

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and sterile environment for assigned areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and emptying trash receptacles
• Cleans fixtures, blinds, pictures, shelves, drapes and ashtrays
• Wash windows, restrooms and kitchenettes, employee lounges, porches, entryways, walls, doors, and windows as needed
• Move furniture
• Refills toilet supplies in restrooms and hand sanitizer units as needed
• Shampoo carpets, strips and waxes floors, as required
• Shovels snow in entryways as required
• Mop floors on a regular basis
• Serves on an on-call list to assist with emergency cleanups
• Maintain regular attendance
• Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instruction
• Knowledge in properly handling hazardous chemicals and materials
• Knowledge in proper cleaning techniques
• Ability to use a ladder and operate cleaning equipment (burnishes, buffers, etc.)
