Job summary

Xfinity Live! in Louisville, KY is seeking a dependable custodian to maintain high standards of cleanliness in buildings and surrounding grounds, following company procedures.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, window cleaning, lavatory upkeep, light repairs to equipment, and ensuring premises are secure at shift end. A high school diploma is preferred and 1–3 years of cleaning experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience in cleaning public buildings and facilities.
• Ability to learn the materials, methods and practices used in cleaning operations.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors and furniture.
• Washes windows, screens, sills, woodwork, doors, walls, and ceilings.
• Cleans lavatories; replaces lavatory supplies; gathers and disposes of trash and wastepaper.
• Makes minor repairs and adjustments to cleaning equipment and reports damage requiring major repairs.
• Secures premises (locks windows, doors, re-sets alarm system, etc.) at end of shift.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


• One- three years’ experience in cleaning public buildings and /or facilities.

Working Conditions

• Lifting 10% (overhead, arm’s length up to 20 lbs., up to 100 lbs with assistance)

• Environment may be outdoors, wet areas and temperatures that may vary.


• Working in stairwells, elevators and on escalators.


• Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive or confined environment.


• Knowledge of safety guidelines, answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness; always pay attention to the needs of guests.


• Ability to use a vacuum cleaner, hand tools, ladders and shop vacuum.
