Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs routine and project cleaning of classrooms, offices, meeting rooms, corridors, lavatories, and locker rooms.
• Sets up and takes down chairs, tables, and heavy equipment as directed.
• Clean and sanitize after accidents or illnesses.
• Assists with cleaning and monitoring boilers, vents, and air handling equipment.
• Maintains and properly stores tools and equipment.
• Follows all security procedures when opening or closing facilities.

Position Details

Position: Hourly Custodian

Location: South View Middle School

Hours per day: 8 hours (3:30 pm - 12:00 am, Monday - Friday)

Days per year: 260 (12-month position)

Wage: $23.60 - $24.97 per hour, depending on experience; starting at $23.60 for new candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pool and boiler licenses preferred or ability to obtain them.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude for repair work.
