Job summary

Avenues Recovery is seeking a dedicated custodian in Metairie, Louisiana to maintain cleanliness and smooth operation of our facility. This role emphasizes reliability and attention to detail within a recovery-focused environment.

You will perform routine cleaning, restocking, trash removal, and support the Executive Director with daily checklists and timely escalation of concerns. No formal education required; two years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

No formal education required.
Minimum of two years' related experience preferred.
If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
Excellent communication, multitasking, and time management skills.
Strong responsibility and attention to detail.
Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and smooth function of property and plant.
Perform routine custodial duties such as cleaning, restocking, removing garbage etc.
Provide consistent operational support as required by the Executive Director.
Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of facility.
Report on all activities completed, escalating any concerns to the Executive Director.
