Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is expanding its team with a dedicated client case manager in Richmond, VA. The role focuses on advocating for clients, initiating intake-based case management, and ensuring insurance coverage remains active throughout treatment.

You will coordinate housing, financial and legal aid, and plan for post-discharge needs to support successful recovery. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in the treatment field, and sobriety if in recovery,

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred.
Min. 1-year experience in treatment industry.
If in recovery, a minimum one-year sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

Advocate for clients, addressing and resolving external barriers to treatment.
Initiate case management for each client upon intake.
Oversee client accounts, ensuring insurance is active throughout duration of treatment.
Provide ongoing case management throughout the duration of treatment.
Arrange housing, financial aid, legal aid, vocational training etc. as necessary for client post-discharge.
Facilitate comprehensive discharge planning (continuing care, housing, sober support etc.).

What You'll Do:

What We're Looking For:

High School diploma or GED preferred

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Warm, empathetic, respectable personality
