Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize facilities, including restrooms, break rooms, offices and other areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors per facility standards.
• Dispose of trash and recycling and ensure waste receptacles are emptied regularly.
• Follow safety guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Maintain outdoor areas and manage cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or fixing minor leaks.
• Lock and secure buildings as needed.
• Report maintenance or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities and DutiesCleans and sanitizes facilities.Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other areas.Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and maintains floors according to facility standards.Disposes of trash and recycling properly and ensures waste receptacles are emptied regularly.Follows safety guidelines, including using cleaning chemicals properly and handling hazardous materials according to regulations.Maintains outdoor areas, such as sweeping sidewalks and clearing debris.Maintains and manages supplies and facilities.Maintains and organizes cleaning supplies and equipment.Performs light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing minor leaks, or repairing simple facility issues.Locks and secures buildings as needed.Reports any maintenance or safety hazards to the supervisor.Primary AttributesProfessional & Technical Knowledge:Possess a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate, as well as specific knowledge of administrative processes and practices, typically learned “on the job,” or which may include a series of training sessions that would comprise a few weeks if done consecutively.Continuing Education:Maintains current knowledge of standards of care and practices as typically acquired through continuing education.Licenses & Certifications:None required.Technical Skills:Prepares basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word. Uses Microsoft Excel to create tables and simple displays of information.
