Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. in Natchez, MS, is seeking a dependable custodian to perform daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, bathrooms and common areas.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and trash removal, with seasonal deep cleaning and interior/exterior maintenance. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED (preferred) and at least one year custodial experience; valid Mississippi driver's license; flexible schedule including occasional after-hours

Job description

Daily cleaning of classrooms, office, bathrooms, and common areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and emptying trash.Maintain an inventory control of all cleaning supplies.Seasonal deep cleaning and maintenance of building interior and exterior (i.e. Floor waxing, carpet cleaning, pressure wash building).Ensure that safety and health procedures are followed as directed by established policies and procedures when storing and using chemicals, specifically, conduct daily walk-through of facility and playground areas to assure all potential dangerous/hazardous materials are removed and/or stored in locked cabinets or in secured storage areas separate from medications and foods and are accessible only to authorized staff; monitor facility and grounds for compliance as appropriate.Perform routine inspections and regular upkeep of interior and exterior areas to ensure areas are free of safety hazards, trash, weeds and other foreign materials.Perform regular upkeep of outside areas, including lawns, landscaped beds, playgrounds and parking lots, to include weeding, trash and litter removal required to keep areas clean, neat and safe.High School diploma or GED preferred and one year custodial or related work experience preferred.Must have scheduling flexibility to include availability to perform occasional emergency services outside of assigned work hours.Valid MS Driver's License.
