Job summary

Sharks Sports and Entertainment, LLC in Fremont is seeking a Custodian to support the safe operation and maintenance of Sharks Ice. This part-time, non-exempt position focuses on cleanliness, guest service, and adherence to emergency procedures.

Shifts vary and can extend into late night or early morning hours; pay is $22.57 per hour. The company offers benefits such as a 401k, ticket discounts, referral bonuses, and free or discounted Sharks events and skating.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must clear background check.
• Must be able to wear SSE assigned uniform during all shifts.
• Positive attitude, self-motivated.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job that are physically demanding (kneeling, bending, stooping, sweeping, mopping, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, reaching, carrying trash, restocking restrooms, etc.).
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.
• Must not be allergic to the cleaning materials and solutions used.
• Available for shifts that extend into late night and/or early morning hours.
• Must be able to operate basic janitorial equipment (e.g., floor scrubber, floor machine, vacuum, basic hand tools).

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the facility.
• Clean with cleaning solutions to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Ensure overall cleanliness of the building.
• Provide excellent customer service while the facility is open.
• Know emergency procedures for equipment and evacuation plan.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Pay Range: $22.57 per hour

Position Summary: Responsible for the safe operation and normal maintenance of the ice arena.

Shift Information

• Shift lengths vary depending on business needs and can be up to 8 hours any day and time of the week including weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions

• Makes a positive contribution to the entertainment experience of guests by cleaning and maintaining the facility.
• Works with cleaning materials and solutions to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Ensures the overall cleanliness of the building.
• Provides excellent customer service at all times that the facility is open for business, and ensures that all policies are properly implemented.
• Knows emergency procedures for equipment and evacuation plan.
• Performs additional duties as required.
