Responsibilities

• Assists housekeeping and laundry staff as needed.
• Empties and removes trash and recycling.

Job Overview

Ebenezer is looking for a Custodian who would be responsible for deep cleaning of carpeted surfaces, stripping, waxing and burnishing of hard floor surfaces. This position may also perform general cleaning duties, all within our senior living and skilled nursing community in Bloomington, MN.

• 32 hours in 2 weeks, part-time schedule, 8 hour shift length
• Day shift
• Every weekend

Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus, is located in East Bloomington, near woodlands/wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Managed by Ebenezer, we offer 137 units between our Skilled Nursing, Memory Care and Transitional Care. We have an outstanding team of tenured staff. The only thing missing is YOU! Responsibilities

• Carpet sweeping, floor sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing
• Carpet extraction
• Stripping, waxing, and burnishing of hard floor surfaces
• Assists housekeeping and laundry staff as needed
• Assists with moving boxes, furniture, etc.
• Empties and removes trash and recycling
• Performs other duties assigned

Required Experience/Skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Able to read/understand instructions for safety sheets and information on chemicals, infection control practices and body mechanics
• Ability to perform relevant floor care procedures
• Experience with mechanical equipment

Preferred Experience/Skills

• One year previous experience in a similar environment preferred
• High school diploma/GED preferred
