Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is seeking a Custodial Worker 2 in the Facilities Department to perform building cleaning, garbage removal and floor care. Snow removal may be required and the role is designated as essential personnel during emergencies.

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is recruiting for a Custodial Worker 2 for the Facilities Department. This position is responsible for general cleaning duties such as cleaning of buildings, emptying garbage, shampooing and buffing floors, and other duties as assigned. Some snow removal may be required. This position is designated as a lead position and considered Essential Personnel. In the event of a campus emergency, special event, closure to maintain campus safety or building operations, this position may be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours.

A valid Class “C” Nevada driver’s license or higher operator’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
The typical work schedule is Tuesday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm and Saturday from 10am to 6:30pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
Grade Grade 23(Step 01, $19.82/hr) In classified service, salary is in Grade and Step. The Step is determined based on the Nevada Administrative Code. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate’s qualifications, internal equity and budgets. A request to accelerate salary must be approved by Human Resources and abide by the Nevada Administrative Code.
