Job summary

Ny Creates is seeking a cleaning technician to maintain our Albany facilities. You will perform dusting, mopping, and disinfection across restrooms, offices, and common areas while ensuring sanitation and safety.

Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for handling routine duties and occasional special projects. Two years of commercial cleaning experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial cleaning.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and competence in general cleaning.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and proficient with cleaning equipment.
• Basic computer skills to complete payroll and emails.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming all floor surfaces.
• Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, windows, and high-touch areas.
• Emptying trash and ensuring proper waste disposal.
• Restocking toiletries, PPE, and janitorial supplies.
• Performing routine and deep cleaning (carpets, vents, baseboards).
• Safely using cleaning products and maintaining sanitation and professionalism.
• Manage tasks efficiently and adapt to schedule changes.

Job Description

• Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming all floor surfaces
• Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, windows, mirrors, and high-touch areas
• Emptying trash and ensuring proper waste disposal
• Organizing and maintaining clutter-free storage areas
• Restocking toiletries, PPE, and janitorial supplies
• Performing routine and deep cleaning (e.g., carpets, vents, baseboards)
• Safely using cleaning products; maintaining sanitation, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Efficiently managing tasks, adapting to schedule changes, and performing physically demanding work
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial cleaning
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated technical competence in general cleaning
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in using various cleaning equipment
• Basic computer skills required to complete payroll and check emails

This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.
