Job summary

The Facilities Janitorial Manager at ESFM is responsible for the supervision, inspection, and control of all custodial and related services within the assigned contract. Specific responsibilities will be determined by client expectations and the Director of Operations.

Strong organization and leadership are required to meet service standards. Hours are primarily weekdays, with possible evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five to ten years of recent supervisory experience in custodial and related employees.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, responsiveness, attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Properly allocate work responsibilities among subordinates.
• Supervises and coordinates the work activities of assigned areas (includes common areas, Service hallways, Food court, etc.).
• Knowledge of contract requirements and creation of schedules to maintain properly skilled staffing levels.
• Approves vacation time, overtime and timecards. Ability to train custodians on work-related equipment.
• Supervises, motivates, disciplines, and evaluates staff.
• Counsel and coordinate with customer management representatives on all matters relating to services performed.
• Resolves clients’ concerns, and performs inspections for satisfactory job performance.
• Meet periodically with subordinates to review status of various elements of facility services and to institute corrective measures for any deficiencies found.
• Monitors supply use inventory. Ensures all equipment in proper working condition.
• Perform any additional duties as required, including providing hands-on-cleaning if required.
