Job summary

Didlake, Inc. is a non-profit organization providing rehabilitation and support services.

The Lead Worker–Janitor will supervise cleaning crews and perform cleaning tasks, splitting duties about 50/50 between supervision and hands-on work, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The role requires at least one year of custodial or maintenance experience, ability to train staff, and strong communication to support individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant experience in commercial custodial or maintenance services.
• Knowledge of general cleaning products and equipment.
• Ability to support and retrain staff on safe operating procedures.
• Strong communication, sound judgment, adaptability, and ability to interact with people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Cleans hallways, restrooms, and other areas using appropriate cleaning tools and machines.
• Assigns tasks, inspects work, and requisitions supplies/equipment.
• Trains employees on procedures and equipment; handles complaints.
• Fills in for general staff and operates power equipment, including snow removal in winter as needed.
• Completes Didlake trainings and follows safety guidelines.
