Responsibilities

• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Assist staff with daily needs and event preparations.
• Assist public in using facilities and obtaining equipment.
• Move materials and equipment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Assists the maintenance personnel as needed while they perform their duties.
• The position will entail general cleaning, lifting, possible lawn care and snow removal, minor building maintenance and repair, generally associated with custodial work.
• Monitor building security and safety by unlocking doors at designated times and locking them after hours.
• Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors, fixtures, and individuals.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Assist building personnel with daily needs, including lunchroom setup, take-down, and cleanup, as well as daily activity/event preparations.
• Assist staff and visiting public in using school facilities, including providing directions within the building, and in obtaining and setting up needed equipment and/or materials.
• Lifting and moving materials and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned or requested
