Full‑Time Custodian

Detroit Lakes Public Schools is seeking an individual to fill a full‑time custodial position.

Job Summary

Provides custodial support for the School District in order to provide a clean, safe and healthy environment for students, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Clean, wash, dust, polish, scrub, strip, seal, wax, buff, vacuum, sweep and mop the building facility, furniture and equipment.
• Stock and maintain custodial areas.
• Conduct cleanup of bodily fluids.
• Lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, perform repetitive motion tasks, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Previous custodial building maintenance and outside grounds experience is desired.

Special Knowledge, Skills, Certificates, Licensure Required

• Special class or greater Minnesota boilers license required prior to probationary period ending.
• Minnesota class D or greater driver's license may be required.
• General knowledge in building electrical, plumbing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems is desired.

Pay Rate

$21.42 per hour
