The role requires at least 2 years in accounting or banking operations, an associate degree or higher, and ERP/GL experience, along with strong Excel and Word skills for reconciliations and reporting.

Our client is a national financial services organization supporting real estate financing and investment operations across multiple markets. The Custodial Accounting Analyst will support accurate cash reconciliation and reporting to help ensure clean ledgers and audit-ready financial controls. This is a full time contract position, hybrid, based in Warrenton, VA, paying $26 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts and related ledgers using an ERP or general ledger accounting system


• Pull balance and activity reports from online banking platforms to support daily cash management


• Initiate and track cash movements such as wires, transfers, and ACH activity as needed


• Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audit requests


• Prepare, review, and analyze reconciliation and cash management reports


• Maintain required banking documentation and assist with ensuring records are organized and compliant with applicable guidelines


• Update and maintain documented procedures as processes change


• Provide administrative support such as monitoring logs, scanning, and processing documents


• Perform additional duties as assigned to support team operations

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, banking operations, or a related finance environment


• Associate’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, business, or a related field (preferred)


• Experience working in an ERP or general ledger accounting platform (preferred)


• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word


• Strong reconciliation, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail


• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment


• Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
