Job summary

University of Utah invites applications for a Temporary Curriculum Coordinator in Extended Education Ventures/Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (UTEMPS). The role supports curriculum development, coordinates classroom programming, and assists speakers and volunteers to ensure engaging sessions at UT Main Campus.

The position is 40 hours per week, non-exempt, starting immediately with an expected end date of May 7, 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree related to the work to be performed.
• Three (3) years of professional experience in planning and coordinating short courses, seminars, workshops, or conferences.
• Learning and adapting to new technologies.
• Working with individuals aged 50+ in committee and classroom settings.
• Using technology platforms such as PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and Zoom.
• Facilitating groups and building relationships with new people.
• Managing projects and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, vetting, and confirming volunteer seminar and lecture speakers. Review and edit speaker content to ensure it aligns with the UT OLLI demographic and complies with university guidelines. Provide logistical and presentation support.
• Collaborate with the Events Coordinator to ensure appropriate recognition at sessions and social activities. Attend events and socials as appropriate. Serve as the lead for all online and hybrid classes.
• Schedule Zoom meetings or webinars, coordinate participants and hosts, manage session recordings, and oversee the video editing process.
• Maintain and organize the digital content library to ensure member access and content integrity. Provide training and support to speakers on using online and in-classroom technology in advance of sessions to ensure a smooth and engaging learning experience.
• Coordinate the development of course catalogs (online & print) and manage the online class registration process.
