Job summary

You will mentor students, deliver live or asynchronous learning, assess performance, stay current with HSPA standards, and collaborate with instructional designers and subject‑matter experts to align curriculum with certification expectations and industry practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable mix of education, clinical experience, credentials, and teaching experience.
• Professional experience in sterile processing, surgical technology, perioperative services, healthcare education, or related field.
• Ability to teach adult learners in various settings.
• Strong familiarity with HSPA certification standards and exam domains.
• Knowledge of endoscope/scope reprocessing practices and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main educator for the Sterile Processing Technician course across the learner experience.
• Potentially support instruction for the Surgical Technology course.
• Facilitate live and/or asynchronous learning, demonstrations, review sessions, and certification preparation.
• Provide timely, actionable feedback to students on assignments and assessments.
• Monitor student engagement, progress, mastery, and risk indicators; intervene early when needed.
• Mentor learners on certification readiness, test-taking, and career pathways.
• Collaborate with student support, operations, and academic teams to address barriers to learner persistence and success.
• Align instruction with course objectives and certification proficiencies.
