Job summary

TeachAAPI is a dynamic nonprofit in Los Angeles seeking a Program and Curriculum Director to shape and execute culturally responsive K-12 programming. You will lead curriculum development, educator engagement, and school implementation, while guiding the Educator Advisory Board and teaching through professional development courses.

The ideal candidate blends classroom leadership with hands-on program design, fostering collaboration across departments and with schools to advance AANHPI-centered

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, curriculum development, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of teaching or curriculum design, including 2+ years in leadership.
• Data-driven approach to designing and evaluating K-12 curricula.
• Expertise in culturally responsive teaching, DEIB, and national standards.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and professional development delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with educators and school leaders.
• Strong project management to translate goals into actionable plans.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, write, refine, and expand K-12 curriculum resources aligned with standards.
• Source and integrate external resources to support TeachAAPI's mission.
• Ensure content reflects best practices in culturally responsive teaching.
• Collaborate with educators and partners to create engaging, project-based curricula.
• Partner with Programming Committee to deliver annual programming across pillars.
• Lead Educator Advisory Board, coordinate meetings, translate feedback into programs.
• Plan and facilitate workshops and trainings for educators.
• Work with schools to integrate TeachAAPI resources into classrooms.
• Monitor impact and inform curriculum revisions.
