Emerson College is seeking a Curriculum Coordinator for the School of Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies (SOA) to develop course scheduling for graduate and undergraduate programs and oversee curriculum alignment across the academic year.
You will collaborate with the Chair, Dean, and Academic Affairs to solicit requests, manage classroom assignments, and maintain accurate course data in the university systems, ensuring timely registrations and degree audits.

The Curriculum Coordinator, School of Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies (SOA) reports to the Director of Operations in SOA and is responsible for managing complex processes related to all SOA academic programs including creating and maintaining an extensive and diverse schedule of SOA graduate and undergraduate course offerings throughout the entire academic year for all full-time and part-time faculty. This role requires systems-thinking with diligent implementation and coordination among a wide variety of stakeholders, including departments’ undergraduate and graduate directors, Chairs, Academic Affairs, and the dean.
Develop course scheduling for SOA in consultation with the Chair, Associate Chair, Dean, and Academic Affairs, focusing on curriculum objectives and the needs of the students Direct curricular planning, changes, and scheduling in partnership with SOA leadership. Responsibilities include soliciting course requests and technology needs, managing classroom assignments, communicating with faculty regarding scheduling, and maintaining course data within the institutional systems. Manage the operational aspects of SOA programs by monitoring enrollment trends, recommending updates to major fields, managing the registration permission process, and advising the Registrar on degree audits. Attend SOA Curriculum and Graduate Program Committee meetings as required. Partner with Academic Affairs leaders and departments to analyze and interpret student enrollment information and understand needs in relationship to curriculum history. Maintain faculty records, prepare academic workload reports and ensure that course descriptions reflect catalog descriptions including revising undergraduate and graduate catalog copy. Facilitate undergraduate and graduate registration for fall and spring by compiling and circulating course descriptions, reviewing course information on the registration website, and granting special permission overrides. Survey faculty regarding course preferences, time schedules, and mediation needs, such as audio/video and computer equipment; Prioritize and coordinate selections with the Chairs and Dean. Support the hiring of affiliated faculty by the Chair. Track Curriculum changes and pending changes for each academic year, together with the Chairs Track Student Enrollment information Collect course syllabi and disseminate as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Usual Office Conditions Compensation: $28.25 - $34.70 hourly, commensurate with experience. Grade of Position: S-23-07NE Employment Category: Regular .
