Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders and deliver a smooth pickup experience. You’ll greet customers, verify items, collect payment when needed, and ensure orders are accurate and ready on time.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, the ability to learn new tech tools, and adherence to procedures. Training is provided, with growth opportunities within a family-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures in an efficient, consistent way.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• As a Digital Clerk, drive customer loyalty by fulfilling online curbside orders quickly and accurately.
• Provide courteous service at the curbside pickup area and handle payments as needed.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, team members, store leadership.
• Resolve concerns quickly by coordinating with leadership when necessary.
• Receive daily workflow from a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items, scan/verify products, and bag items per standards.
• Store and stage orders following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean and ready for next pickup.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
