Job summary

City of New York's Transportation Planning and Management Division seeks two Curb Management Planners to study curb use and optimize street space across NYC. You will examine neighborhood curb management issues, review DOT projects, and develop actionable recommendations to balance loading, parking, and curbside use.

You will collect metrics, analyze data, and prepare reports and dashboards while engaging internal teams and the public.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of related experience; or
• High school graduation and six years of related experience; or
• Education/experience equivalent to the above with at least one year in the described duties.

Responsibilities

• Examine curb management issues at neighborhood level and engage stakeholders.
• Conduct curb management studies and review curbside impacts of DOT projects.
• Develop recommendations to improve curb operations and manage competing demands.
• Collect and analyze curb usage metrics to inform curb management recommendations.
• Prepare documents, reports, and presentations for management and public outreach.
