New York City Department of Transportation is seeking a Director of Curb Planning and Management to oversee curb space programs, parking policies, and related data initiatives. The role involves coordinating with partners on SIPs and expanding time-lapse data collection and photography for project evaluation.

The candidate will lead strategic planning, develop reports for diverse audiences, and guide staff with strong public speaking and transportation planning experience.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in transportation planning, transportation engineering, mathematics, urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, urban studies, or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 1 year of related experience in roadway transportation and traffic studies or area-wide programs.
• Bachelor's degree with two years of related experience as described in the previous item.
• An associate degree or completion of 60 semester credits with four years of related experience.
• A four-year high school diploma or educational equivalent with six years of related experience.

Responsabilités

• Oversee curb space programs including Parking Planning and Policy, Carshare, taxi stands, and waste containerization.
• Establish agency direction with partners and create parking plans to support SIPs.
• Lead time-lapse data collection processes and before/after photography for projects.
• Prepare reports and presentations distilling complex information for technical and non-technical audiences.
