Job summary

New York City Department of Transportation is seeking a Community Coordinator to join the Office of Curb Management. You will examine curb issues at neighborhood scale, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and develop solutions to improve curb use in commercial areas.

You will collect curb usage metrics, review DOT project impacts, and prepare reports and presentations to inform policy and planning decisions.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or related duties.
• High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or related duties.
• Education/experience equivalent to the above with at least one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Examine curb management issues at neighborhood level and work with stakeholders to develop solutions.
• Conduct curb management studies and review curbside impacts of DOT projects.
• Evaluate on-street parking regulations and develop improvement recommendations.
• Collect curb usage metrics and analyze data to inform management decisions.
• Prepare documents, reports, presentations, and materials as needed.
