Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the grounds, amenities, and exterior areas of our properties. You will support leasing offices and ensure a welcoming, safe environment for residents and guests.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning, trash removal, preparing market-ready units, and assisting with weather-related maintenance. Strong customer service and safety focus are required, with a city-wide schedule Tue–Sat.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to use general office equipment.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
• Must comply with safety requirements.
• Must complete Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash and other debris from office areas and property perimeter on a daily basis.
• Assist in the preparation of market ready units.
• Pressure wash exterior buildings, sidewalks, etc.
• Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal and/or other inclement weather emergencies, fires, and floods.
• Clean available apartments and/or model homes and common areas of the community, as directed.
• Address property maintenance concerns related to inclement weather conditions.
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, and interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents always.
• Preserve and respect applicant and resident confidentiality.
• Foster a positive, active and collaborative relationship with residents, other properties and associated agencies.
• Clearly and immediately report any maintenance and/or life safety issues identified while performing regular assigned duties.
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, and interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents at all times.
