Job summary

Explore Axis at The Park, part of Avenue5 Residential, in Charlotte is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain grounds, amenities, building exteriors and parking areas to maximize curb appeal and resident satisfaction.

You will perform daily cleanup, assist in market-ready units, pressure wash exteriors, assist with weather-related emergencies, and ensure safety and confidentiality while interacting professionally with residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and current auto insurance required.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to use general office equipment.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must maintain professional appearance and comply with uniform policy.
• Must comply with all safety requirements.
• Must complete Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days.
• Ability to shovel snow, apply ice melt and operate a commercial snow blower.
• Passionate for meticulous curb appeal.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash and debris from office areas and property perimeter daily.
• Assist in preparation of market ready units.
• Pressure wash exterior buildings, sidewalks, etc.
• Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal and other inclement weather emergencies.
• Clean available apartments, model homes and common areas as directed.
• Address property maintenance concerns related to inclement weather.
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and curb appeal and interacting professionally with residents.
• Preserve confidentiality of applicants and residents.
• Foster positive, active relationships with residents and other properties.
• Report maintenance and life-safety issues promptly.
• Operate in line with safety requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
