Job summary

The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska is seeking a Youth Development Professional to implement daily culturally focused activities and supervise youth in the Boys & Girls Club program. The role emphasizes culture, healthy lifestyles, leadership, and positive adult relationships to support youth development.

Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities, ensuring safety, and collaborating with staff for events and program delivery.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required; college credit hours in education or child/youth development preferred.
Experience working with youth and planning, supervising, leading, and engaging in activities based on developmental needs.
Knowledge and experience practicing cultural activities.

Responsibilities

Implement daily activities and schedules, assist in tracking attendance; plan and provide age-appropriate activities and snacks.
Meet daily with Site Manager and other program staff to prepare for shift.
Lead activities to enhance health, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development with a cultural aspect.
Ensure the safety of the children enrolled in the program at all times.
Maintain professional relationships with children, parents, and co-workers and treat all with respect and dignity.
Strong communication and organizational skills; provide guidance and discipline per policy.
Work with staff on special events to carry out programs in all departments.
