Job summary

Ponca Tribe of Nebraska is seeking a Youth Development Professional for the Boys & Girls Club of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska. You will supervise youth and implement culturally specific programming centered on culture, healthy lifestyles, leadership, and positive relationships with caring adults.

The role requires strong communication, planning, and independent work to provide structured activities while ensuring safety and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required; college credit hours in education or child/youth development preferred.
Experience working with youth and leading activities for youth.
Knowledge and experience practicing cultural activities.

Responsibilities

Implement daily activities and schedules; track attendance and provide age-appropriate cultural activities.
Meet daily with Site Manager to prepare for shifts.
Lead activities to support health, emotional, social, and physical development with a cultural component.
Ensure the safety of children enrolled in the program at all times.
Enforce rules according to policy and procedure; communicate effectively with parents and staff.
Plan and participate in special events; maintain professional relationships with youth, parents, and colleagues.
