Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. seeks a Full-Time Cultural Resources Technician 2 to support Phase I–III archaeological projects across the Southwestern region. You will identify, excavate, document, and process artifacts, coordinate field forms and mapping, and assist with lab tasks in line with federal/state standards.

Qualifications

B.A./B.S. in Archaeology/Anthropology or related field.
1–3 years CRM experience in North America preferred.
Willingness to travel and independent transportation.

Responsibilities

Excavate, screen, and collect archaeological materials per federal/state standards.
Identify and record archaeological features and structures within project areas.
Document and map survey areas, testing locations, and excavations.
Complete field forms (paper and/or electronic) accurately.
Record soil color and type using a Munsell chart; use a compass for navigation.
