Job summary

The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas (CALV) is seeking a Kitchen Steward Instructor to deliver curriculum and supervise hands-on training for our two-week program. You will ensure safety, sanitation, and industry standards while guiding students toward employment in Las Vegas hospitality.

You will teach in classroom and applied settings, assess progress, maintain records, and travel to partner locations. Evening and weekend hours may be required as training schedules dictate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of stewarding experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of training or teaching experience.
• SNHD Food Handler Safety Training Card required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Kitchen Steward curriculum following CALV standards.
• Provide learner-centered instruction through classroom lessons and hands-on training.
• Teach and reinforce workplace safety, food safety, sanitation, and stewarding practices.
• Supervise students during instruction and applied training.
• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback; maintain records.
• Travel to partner locations and work evenings/weekends as required.
