DIG INN Restaurant Teams in Stamford, CT is seeking a Chef-in-Training to join our scratch-based kitchen. Learn to prep, cook, and plate under guidance from experienced chefs in a fast-paced environment while embracing our mission to rebuild the food system.

You will gain hands-on experience across multiple kitchen stations, develop leadership skills, and grow within a supportive, educational team focused on real, good food and community impact.

Qualifications

• Passion for real, good food and eagerness to learn culinary skills.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, grains using recipes as guide and taste as validation.
• Gain exposure to garde manger, grill, roast, market line, guest concierge and delivery/packout.
• Explain menu offerings and ingredients to guests to create a satisfying, scratch-made meal.
• Support the team during peak and off-peak service by pitching in where needed.
• Meet physical requirements including lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
