Job Summary

Directly supervises food-service associates, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; evaluate performance; recognize and discipline staff; address complaints and resolve issues.
2. Advise management on purchasing needs, focusing on minimizing waste and preventing shortages.
3. Use approved recipes and standards to ensure quality, proper serving temperatures, and portion control.
4. Operate and clean equipment following department procedures after each use.
5. Store, label, and date food items according to policy; maintain proper food rotation to minimize spoilage and waste.
6. Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety and quality.
7. Operate food-service equipment safely and according to policies.
8. Assist in serving meals; remain present during meal periods to gather customer feedback.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
