Job description

Position Summary

The Concessions Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the food & beverage serving of guests in the arena at various concessions stands, bars, and portable food & beverage locations. The Concessions Supervisor must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The role includes assisting the Concessions Manager and the leadership team with training, inventory, and special events.

The Concessions Supervisor must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role pays an hourly rate of $18 to $22.

About the Venue

Subaru Park is home to the Philadelphia Union, Major League Soccer team. The Food & Beverage department services Union Yards, the Stadium, and an Office Cafe. This position may have shifts at all locations.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors, including verifying inventory, assigning duties, ensuring sanitation standards, and operational readiness.
  2. Provide oversight for efficient and profitable event execution.
  3. Train new and current employees on procedures and best practices.
  4. Cover or back-up open positions to ensure location operation and standards are met; assist with premium services and event needs.
  5. Maintain a safe work environment, addressing hazards and safety concerns promptly.
  6. Supervise staff and volunteers, fostering a positive work environment, and providing ongoing training and feedback.
  7. Obtain knowledge of all concession locations and procedures.
  8. Supervise beverage service, including checking IDs for alcohol, recording orders, and handling payments.
  9. Recommends menu items and explains ingredients to guests.
  10. Maintain sanitation and safety standards.
  11. Meet attendance standards and ensure equipment is operational and clean.
  12. Recognize and address guests who are intoxicated, including cutting off alcohol as necessary.
  13. Enforce company policies and procedures.
  14. Handle employee relations, coaching, and HR paperwork.
  15. Assist with training, inventory, and special events.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. 1-2 years’ supervisory experience in food & beverage environment.
  2. Ability to supervise others and communicate effectively.
  3. Fluent in English (reading and writing).
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  5. Valid food handling or alcohol service permit if required.
  6. Responsible cash handling skills.
  7. Basic math skills related to POS transactions and inventory.
