Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Austin is seeking a Culinary Supervisor for Arriba Abajo, the Cantina-themed restaurant inside the Thompson and tommie Austin, to oversee daily kitchen operations and support the Executive Chef.

You will coach the kitchen team, ensure consistent, high-quality dishes, monitor production and costs, and maintain safety and sanitation standards while stepping in for the Executive Chef when needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of kitchen experience preferred.
• Culinary degree or related kitchen experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the kitchen team toward exceptional guest service and quality.
• Produce a consistent, high-quality menu with timely delivery.
• Monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality daily.
• Ensure proper safety and sanitation of kitchen facilities and equipment.
• Assume department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef.
• Assist with payroll costs and overtime monitoring.
