Job summary

Thompson Austin is seeking a Culinary Supervisor for Arriba Abajo, a Cantina-themed bar and restaurant inside Thompson and Tommie Austin. You will supervise kitchen staff, coordinate with the Executive Chef, and ensure timely prep of a consistent, high-quality menu designed to delight hotel guests and residents.

The role requires 2+ years of kitchen experience and a culinary degree or related experience. Flexibility to work weekends/holidays is essential; supervision of daily kitchen operations

Qualifications

• 2+ years of kitchen experience required.
• Culinary degree or related kitchen experience preferred.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the team toward exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction.
• Produce a consistent, high-quality product meeting guest needs promptly.
• Monitor daily food production, ordering, cost, and quality.
• Ensure proper safety and sanitation of kitchen facilities and equipment.
• Lead department trainings.
• Cover department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef.
• Assist with payroll cost monitoring and overtime.
