Job summary

Wincome Hospitality is seeking a reliable Steward to support our hotel's culinary operations. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness of dishes, glassware, and utensils, while upholding sanitation and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will work with the culinary team daily, handling dishwashing, pot washing, and general cleaning tasks, and you must communicate clearly with managers and kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in dishwashing and industrial cleaning.
• Clear communication with managers and kitchen staff.
• Ability to stand for up to 9 hours.
• Maintain personal hygiene per health standards.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware and other utensils and place them in racks for the dish machine.
• Stack clean dishes and carry them to storage areas; rewash soiled items.
• Change dishwater in the dish machine hourly.
• Wash pots and pans by hand; hand-cleaning as needed.
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster; break down dish area when required.
• Set up or break down the dishwashing area and equipment.
• Sweep and mop floors; wipe spills and maintain dry surfaces.
• Inspect safety temperatures in dish machine and report issues to the manager.
• Ensure compliance with California Health Code cleanliness standards.
