Job summary

The Waterford on Cooper in Arlington, Texas is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to join our dining team. You will plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

This role offers comprehensive benefits, training opportunities, and a technology-driven operations platform while upholding high standards of cleanliness and resident satisfaction. Experience with large-scale meal prep and a Food Service Sanitation Certificate are valued; teamwork

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience with volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, flexible shifts, multi-task, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to Residents including efficient service delivery and cleanliness.
• Cleans after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored properly.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
